Well Deane I too was from a little town in Oregon Once upon a time, and my little town was named Pacific City. I was born in Tillamook way back in 63 although I moved to CA in 64 And did not move back to OR until late 76 I still spent enough time there to wander from Siletz to Waldport then the Dalles, Silverton, Otis, Rose lodge. Willamina and Sisters. Springfield, Eugene, Corvallis, Klamath Falls, Bend, Prineville even a General store/US post office in a seriously one horse town named Antelope in eastern Oregon just west of the South Ochoco National Forest. OK Deane, I don't wanna split hairs or start an argument with you but My point is this. If you are going to lay claim to being a native Oregonian you should first probably take notice that not a single one of these towns I've named are south of Oregon#1 and #2 Corvallis is not a small town, nor has it been since I've ever had the misfortune of laying my eye's on it at 3:15am in the morning as the rain is pouring down and you can see for miles down the highway that you'll not be riding anytime soon, and so the only thing left to do is hang your head so the rain won't hit you in the eye's and put your hands back into your pockets and walk.
