Shaking The Cage

We’ve been pretty quiet this past week but it has been for good reasons. The team has been working hard on a solution for the rise in spam, finishing our Facebook Connect integration, and warmly welcoming our new back-end developer Devin Naquin.

Devin was an intern during the Summer of 2008 at Disqus and developed the reblog functionality we now all enjoy. We’re all really excited to have him on the team but I will let him introduce himself more.

I will have more updates about the status of our improvements to the handling of spam and the integration of Facebook Connect next week.

Oh yeah, I will be having a Disqus contest next week, so keep your eyes peeled!

    One thing I was wondering..would it be possible to have the ability the include the FB connect button / logged in as box somewhere else on my site? I would like to feature it more prominently, but would need to have it in an iframe from disqus.com

  • Looking forward to the new announcements on the spam front, but I would suggest that you not refer to Devin as your "back-end developer." Despite the fact that I was responsible for marketing a server subsystem, I had a former boss who refused to call me a "back-end product manager." He thought it meant I was managing butts. Since I have a high regard for the Disqus staff, I assume that Devin isn't developing a bunch of butts. :)
