Thanks for responding--I haven't checked this site recently, but am still unable to comment. When I log in to disqus, and try to comment at Shakesville, the same page opens in a new tab, and it again asks me to "log in to comment". This will happen repeatedly. The comments area never opens on that site. Am I missing something?

I really don't like the idea of having to give out my e mail every time I post a
comment ( SPAM and Spyware / Adware are major concerns ).

Is it yet possible for "unclaimed" comments to receive email notification upon reply? This would allow for reply-by-email and notification functionality even for unregistered users. It's critical for fostering more discussion and getting users hooked enough to actually register and save them from typing in their info every time.
