Announcing the Disqus API

I’m happy to announce that the first official release of our public API is now online. The methods provided are enough to let you write your own comment import tools, export tools, or even a custom Disqus plugin for your platform. Much thanks goes to our early adopters for helping us polish the documentation and identify the missing methods. With their help, the API has been steadily improving since the release of our Wordpress plugin.

We’re excited to see what people come up with. And of course, the Disqus API is still improving frequently, so let us know what could be better.

  • BuSpar (buspirone) for Anxiety: I have been taking this medicine 15mg in the morning and 15mg at night and it works great. Never had any medical problems before then last year all of a sudden I had a panic attack and was in bed three weeks with anxiety, it scared me to death. I was in such fear I shook. This drug took three weeks to get me OK but it's now been 19 months without anxiety I hope it works long term. I still fear another panic attack it was horrible expecially for someone who had always been healthy and happy.

    If you really have a problem with these pills, stop taking them, go to the nearest drug treatment center and ask for help. They won't tie you down and keep you there as if you were mad, they will simply present you your options, support groups and sponsors if needed.

  • Are there any examples on how a customised plugin looks like?I guess people like me who don't really understand a thing about coding will be pulling strends of hair off trying get the bit into our brain.!Please simplify the instructions given!!

    I have seen a tag on plugins. Are those created by users or its all by Disqus.They are all pretty interesting interfaces and I have downloaded a few of it and tested it out. It's great!

    I am absolutely keen in the public API utility.However, after going through the documentations that are posted, I am still very confused on how to get things started.Are they any step by step guide on to get things customised?Quite a novice in such field and don't wish to give up in customising my own plugin.
