How to: Integrate Disqus manually on Blogger/Blogspot

Once again, the community lends us a hand. This one comes from Laibcoms (thanks!).

We recommend only advance users and tinkerers attempt this one. If you’re having any problems with our Blogger integration tool, try this guide on manually editing the template.

Of course, we do plan on releasing an improved integration tool in a near-future release.

    Hi JC , I have a slight problem : I had difficulty implementing Disqus on my Blog manually ( this time around - I have installed it manually on 2 other blogs & had no problem whatsoever -first shot & Bang it was done ) This time around it was like removing a wisdom tooth :( so I downloaded the template and copied the finished code back into my page . Now I have the Disqus PLUS the Blogger comment form resting INSIDE the Disqus system :((( I need to know the code for the BLOGGER system in order to just remove it - but I just cant seem to find it ! Help me please ???? :((

  • If you have issues with the comment counter, use Feedburner. Take a look at my blog if you are interested in seeing it but it's pretty seamless

    It's good to see that disqus gives credit to the volunteers who came up with guides. Is it really that difficult that the guides are only for advance users? I am not very good at it but hope that there is still help to assist me through.

    Threaded conversations automatically shorten line length.

    I turned of threaded conversations to see if that would help.

  • Haven't read this post before, but I managed to integrate disqus with blogger while at the same time I am writing a petty tutorial here: http://gausarts.blogspot.com/2008/06/integrating-disqus-into-blogger.html.

    I had to wait a few minutes or so to see my disqus start to display on my blogger. I see a little problem, though, that the disqus text area box doesn't appear when there is a comment, so it reverts to default blogger comment system. In other posts without comments it appears nicely. I have to dig more I guess

  • To Daniel,I found the awnser after reading this How-To.
    cool,i also Integrated Disqus manually,but i miss step one"set width to 100%".that's why some article which contain over-wide elements wo'nt show disqus.

    I'll introduce disqus into chinese blogs^^
