Thanks for the information. I guess most will be trying out frantically why doesn't their comments appear and the blogger might be wondering why are the comments so little and getting demoralized by it.

Comments are important to the blogger when maybe the commenters are having problems and wants to get the issue solve immediately. With disappearance of comments might post great problems to them. It's good that Disqus always update what's going on for explanation.

Its good for Tumblr to have the URL extension change. At least the user will know what is the page they have clicked and get a better understand of it. I believed Disqus should be having a hard time getting it solved quick. Tumblr should inform Disqus about this issue that they are changing.
